What is NextTrade Gold EA?
A rules-based Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, built specifically for XAUUSD. Two engines, six filters, full risk engine, Telegram alerts.
Is this compatible with Windows or Mac?
Yes, this is fully compatible with Windows as well as Mac.
Which MT5 broker should I use?
Any regulated ECN or RAW-spread broker that offers XAUUSD with tight spreads. Low latency and commission-based accounts tend to produce better fills.
What account size do I need?
Practical minimum is about USD 500. Risk-% sizing scales with equity above that. Use demo for week one regardless of size.
Do I need a VPS?
For live trading, yes. The EA needs MT5 running 24/5 to catch every bar close. A low-latency VPS near your broker (London or New York) is strongly recommended.
How do I install it?
Copy the .ex5 file into MT5's MQL5/Experts folder, restart MT5, drag the EA onto an XAUUSD chart, load the included .set preset, enable AutoTrading. Under 10 minutes end-to-end.
Engines, filters & AI
Does the EA repaint?
No. Both engines evaluate only closed bars. Signals fire on confirmed candles, never on the forming bar.
Is the AI bias filter required?
No. It's optional and off by default. When enabled, it calls Llama 3.3 via Groq. If the API is unreachable it fails open — the EA continues under the non-AI rules.
How does the news filter work?
The EA checks an economic calendar feed for high-impact releases and blocks new entries inside your configured before/after window. Window size and high-impact toggle are both inputs.
Can I run this on pairs other than XAUUSD?
It's tuned for XAUUSD — thresholds, buffers, and session windows all assume Gold. Running on another pair is possible but unsupported and your results will vary.
Can I backtest in the MT5 Strategy Tester?
Yes. Use "Every tick based on real ticks" with the included .set preset. News and AI-bias filters are skipped inside the tester since they rely on live feeds.

Do I get updates?
Starter includes 6 months of updates, Pro includes 12 months, Lifetime includes updates forever. New .ex5 builds arrive by email.
Can I upgrade my license later?
Yes. Upgrade any time and you only pay the difference. Email support with your order ID.
